If you attended AWP in Portland, you may have happened upon the Salamander table, and if you have, you may have found a postcard with an excerpt from my story Half Hitch. This story had been rejected countless times. Upon the last rejection, I revised it and sent it to Salamander. Not only did they accept the story so graciously, they nominated it for Best of the Small Fictions, and it was selected along with some of the great short story writers out there today. I am humbled and stunned to have been placed among those pages.
